Study that showed that our mind cant tell the difference between thoughts we think and reality.

  • The more we focus on negative words and thoughts the more you can actually damage key structures that regulate your memory, feelings, and emotions.

  • Negative thinking is self perpetuating. The more you expose your brain to it the more it will automatically generate additional negative feelings.

Disrupt Negative Thoughts!

The faster we can interrupt our brains reaction to real or imaginary threats, the quicker we can generate feelings of safety and well-being and train our brains that this is how we deal with negative thoughts.

  • Talking badly about people or environments generates mutual distrust. It undermines your brains ability to build empathy and cooperation. The brain cannot distinguish between fantasy talk and reality when perceiving negative events. It ALWAYS assumes real danger exists.

  • The human brain needs a tremendous amount of energy to function, and it takes even more energy to build new neural circuits to change the ways we normally communicate.

Remember: The words you use to describe someone else, are the words that others who hear associate with you.

Bible Texts:

2 Corinthians 10:5 “...We also capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ.”

Genesis 6:5

“The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.”
